Saab Key Programming
Saab cars built from 1994 have an immobilizer system based on keys that are coded. A new transponder is required to allow the addition of an additional key, and special programming. This is usually done at the dealer using a Tech2 diagnostic tool.
The issue is that this could be very costly. You should always keep a spare set of keys on hand.
Transponder key
The transponder can be described as a key that is equipped with an electronic chip. The chip sends a signal when the key is put in the ignition. Jumpstarting the battery
The majority of people have the set in their trunk to start a vehicle in an emergency, however it might not be a good idea for vehicles that are newer.
